Development Manager

Gateway Domestic Violence Center is seeking a full time (40 hours per week)  Development Manager. Key responsibilities include individual and corporate fundraising, donor engagement, campaign management, data management, and community engagement. This is a fully in-person position. 

 

Requirements: Bachelor’s degree plus five years of relevant work experience. Relevant experience includes positions with a primary responsibility of managing relationships with external constituents. Candidates without a bachelor’s degree who have at least 10 years of relevant work experience may also be considered. Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to engage and inspire donors. Knowledge of data management systems. Experience working independently and as part of a team, managing multiple projects and priorities. Understand the sensitive nature of domestic violence and Gateway’s work, and commit to maintain confidentiality. Understand budgets, budget development, and financial goals. Possess a passion for Gateway’s mission.

Substitute Domestic Violence Advocate

Gateway Domestic Violence Center is looking for individuals who would like extra part time work on nights and weekends. 

 

Requirements: At least two years of college or two years of related work experience. Able to independently make decisions. Must be able to pass Gateway’s background check process. Special consideration will be given to candidates who are bilingual and speak English and Spanish and to those with a bachelor’s degree in a related field.

 

Schedule: Shifts are generally available on weeknights from 4 p.m. – 8 a.m. or anytime on the weekends. Sleeping overnight is permitted if the advocate is able to remain responsive and answer crisis calls.

 

Duties: Answer crisis hotline calls, provide emotional support for residents, maintain a safe facility, and other duties.

 

Salary and Benefits: $15/hour. 34 hours of paid training is required before the advocate will work independently.
